David W. Tralka is the President & CEO of InsurBanc, a division of the Connecticut Community Band, N.A.® He is responsible for keeping the bank focused on being an innovative provider of financial products and services for the independent agency community. As a seasoned banker, his career is distinguished by an extensive tenure at Merrill Lynch where he served in a number of senior management positions including President of Merrill Lynch Bank and Trust in Princeton, NJ, and Chairman of Merrill Lynch Community Development Company. David holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a BA in economics from Cornell University.

​Cyber Liability: Understanding the Exposure (2 Hours KY/IN C.E. Credit)

Cybercrime is growing with no slowdown in sight.  All businesses which collect private information about their clients must comply with state and/or federal notification laws, which can cost small businesses on average over $200,000!  Since this is a rapidly growing exposure it is difficult for businesses to understand the definition of private information, how to protect it and how to comply with notification laws. This course will provide agents with an understanding of the current exposures associated with cyber risks and ways to protect themselves and their clients.

John is the V.P - Professional Liability/Brokerage at Arlington Roe & Co.  His focus is placing coverage for professional liability and casualty risks. John is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriter's Society (PLUS) and sits on teh Midwest Steering Committee.  He is a member of the IIA of Illinois Educational Committee, the Agent's Insurance Services Board and is a licensed P&C agent. This seminar is approved for 2 hours of continuing education credit.

For 30 years, Wayne Perkey was the wake-up voice for Kentuckiana on WHAS Radio.  "Wayne Perkey and the Morning Team" was one of the highest-rated morning radios shows in America. For 20 years, Wayne was "Mr. Crusade" - host of the WHAS Crusade for Children, which has raised over $100 Million to benefit children with handicaps.

Wayne was President of The Louisville Rotary Club, and received the "Rotarian of the Year" Award in 2002.  Perkey served on the Board of the Metro YMCA, and helped create the Mayor's Community Thanksgiving Breakfast, and received its first "Spirit of Louisville Award."

Professional Ethics in the Insurance Industry (3 Hours KY/IN C.E. Credit)

This three hour seminar is a fast-paced examination of the many facets of professional ethics  It will be presented in five major sections and is designed to give participants an overview of approaches to professional ethics issues.  These include the difference between personal and professional ethics, a review of objective ethical standards, a review and discussion on ethical "hot spots," a discussion of ethics statements and lastly practical application of the information that has been presented.

Richard S. Pitts serves as general counsel for Arlington Roe & Co.  He has served on various panels discussing insurance law and has presented numerous continuing education seminars for Big "I" associations throughout the country and for other industry associations.  Richard is a graduate of Wabash College and Indiana University School of Law.  He is also admitted to practice before Indiana state and federal courts, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.  This seminar is approved for 3 hours continuing education credit.

CSR of the Year Award

The CSR of the Year Award is given to an individual working in an IIAK member agency as a customer service representative, who typifies the ideals of service. This person’s experience, education, community service and attitude may be taken into consideration in the judging for this award. A person may be licensed or not to be considered for this award.

E Starling Holloway Award

The E. Starling Holloway Award is given to honor an individual who has made a significant industry contribution, enhanced the ideals and reputation of the insurance industry, or made a significant contribution to his or her community, state or country. This award is open to all felt worthy of the honor and does not have to be a member of the IIAK and/or does not have to be working in the insurance industry.
